Waterlock House is a beautiful detached Georgian property, originally a seed merchant’s premises with many of the original features still in situ giving it a unique character and charm. There is an interior design shop/showroom, large curtain making and training workrooms, 3 bed luxury self catering accommodation and a beautiful Mediterranean garden with countryside views. It is a creative and welcoming environment where students and clients can relax and feel at home.
Wingham is a special friendly village. There are 2 very good pubs and restaurants, general store, post office, bakery, cafe, beautiful church and an excellent farm shop nearby. There are plenty of countryside walks and lovely nearby places to visit and eat out, such as Ickham, Wickhambreaux and Sandwich. We are only a short distance from the City of Canterbury with its historic buildings, cathedral, River Stour, high street stores, individual boutique shops, theatres and restaurants. We also recommend visiting the seaside towns such as Broadstairs, Margate, Whitstable, Ramsgate and Deal.
Nearest airports are London Gatwick, London Stansted and London City Airport. Canterbury West train station is 7 miles to Waterlock House (taxis always available outside the station), with a direct train from London St Pancras International (56 minutes). We are only a 20 minute car journey from Dover and Folkestone. Wingham is a free parking village – there is always available parking nearby Waterlock House.
