Victoria Hammond Interiors established in 2001, specialises in interior design, curtain making and soft furnishings, working on prestigious projects. Victoria has many years extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the industry.


Victoria set up Victoria Hammond Academy in 2008, which runs accredited training courses in professional curtain making, soft furnishings and interior design. Victoria believes in training to a high standard using traditional hand sewing methods. The courses are tailored to suit all levels of ability and a high percentage of the students go on to set up their own curtain making business following training at the Academy.


Victoria Hammond Academy is accredited by AIM Awards, which is an approved British Awarding Body, regulated by Ofqual. We are also an approved member of other reputable organisations, including the Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers, the British Institute of Interior Design and the Federation of Small Businesses.


Victoria Hammond Interiors is located in a lovely village in Canterbury. We have an interior design showroom, curtain making workrooms where we hand-make curtains and soft furnishings to a high standard, a Mediterranean garden with stunning countryside views, and a luxury 3 bedroom self catering cottage. It is a creative and welcoming environment where students and clients can relax and feel at home.


We provide a full interior design and project management service; curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, wall coverings, bespoke furniture, upholstery, lighting, flooring, kitchens and bathrooms and more. We believe in providing an personal, reliable and expert service from estimation to completion. Meet The Team

VICTORIA HAMMOND is the founder and Director of Victoria Hammond Interiors. She has 20 years professional experience as a curtain making, soft furnishing and interior design specialist. She grew up helping her mother sew, who ran a successful curtain making and upholstery business. Following graduation with a Degree in Textiles and a Diploma in Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings, Victoria gained experience working for top end design companies before establishing her business in 2001. She now thoroughly enjoys running both the Academy and the Interior Design business.

ROSIE STOKES is Victoria’s Assistant. Victoria was delighted when Rosie joined the team. Previously she worked as a personal assistant/office manager for a team of directors. Rosie also studies dress making in her spare time and loves interior design! Rosie assists with the running of the business; managing administration, Waterlock House accommodation and looking after students training at the Academy.

PHILIPPA  SEDGWICK assists Victoria on courses at Victoria Hammond Academy. Following training with Victoria in 2014 she went on to set up her curtain making business primarily in Switzerland, and is now based full time in Kent. Her workroom is located at Victoria Hammond Interiors. Pip is passionate and dedicated to her work and Victoria thoroughly enjoys working alongside her as part of the team.

ANGELA CONSTANTINOU is a trainer at the Academy and runs the course ‘Traditional Lampshade Making’. She is an inspiring, full of life, talented lady. She studied at a renowned university in London, where she now regularly tutors. She works on residential and commercial commisions in and around London. She has worked with companies and designers that include Robert Young Antiques, Mockbee & Co and Dutch interior designer, Rutger Hopster.

NATALIE WEAVERS is a renown Interior Designer, who tutors at the Academy on the course ‘Introduction to Interior Design’. She graduated with a degree in interior architecture in 1986 and set up her own company in 2001 after working for several practices in London, Melbourne, Australia and Brunei, where she designed a hotel, and residential and sports complex for the Royal family. Natalie mainly designs bars and restaurants; recent projects include Indi-go Westfield, Mia Lounge Swiss Cottage, Al-dar Cafe Kings Road and Bocadito Esher. Since February 2012, she has been a visiting lecturer at UAL Chelsea (University of Arts London Chelsea) specialising in restaurant interior design.
